At least for testing, could you try cd Odarwin-ppc; make install-lib; make gp-dynThis appears to do what I did by hand; in any case, the result is the same (the dylib got installed, and the last make complained about the ".a" library. For some reason, it (gcc) thinks that the app should be built with the static library. I'll try to figure out what's going wrong and let you know.Could you send me the output of ls -l /usr/local/lib/libpari* ?
Here's what I have:-rwxr-xr-x 1 justin unknown 2823536 Dec 3 13:26 /usr/local/lib/libpari-2.2.2.dylib lrwxr-xr-x 1 justin unknown 17 Dec 3 13:26 /usr/local/lib/libpari-2.2.a -> libpari-2.2.a.2.2 -rw-r--r-- 1 justin unknown 4541332 Nov 25 18:46 /usr/local/lib/libpari-2.2.a.2.2
Maybe try to remove /usr/local/lib/libpari-2.2.a to get a simpler error message.
As could be predicted (:-}), it complained of a missing lib: ld: can't locate file for: -lpari-2.2It's got something to do with the compiler and the way dynamic- vs. static- libraries are handled, but I'm currently clueless.
More to come. Regards, Justin -- Justin C. Walker, Curmudgeon-At-Large * Institute for General Semantics | Men are from Earth. | Women are from Earth. | Deal with it. *--------------------------------------*-------------------------------*
