Can you add a 'print' somewhere to see exactly what tex2mail is being fed ?

For instance, line 862

  print "BEGIN|$par|END\n";

I get

  ? \o3
   output = 3 (external prettyprint)
  ? 1/x
  BEGIN|\%1 = {{1}\over{x}}

  |END
       1
  %1 = -
       x

Double check:

  (23:03) geo-kb% echo '\%1 = {{1}\over{x}}\n' |\
                    tex2mail -TeX -noindent -ragged -by_par
  BEGIN|\%1 = {{1}\over{x}}

  |END
       1
  %1 = -
       x
