The first one is wrong, but I can't reproduce this on the alpha I have
access to. (I correctly get 1 for the first test above.)

Does it still occur now that Bill has applied his patch (to cater for 'int'
return types) ? If so, can you try an debug this ? The lex routine is rather
straightforward...
