There is a trick:
? V=[[1]~,[2]~,[3]~]
%28 = [[1]~,[2]~,[3]~]
? Mat(V~)~
%29 = Mat([[1]~,[2]~,[3]~])
? V=[[1],[2],[3]]~
%30 = [[1],[2],[3]]~
? Mat(V~)~
%31 = [[1];[2];[3]]
