factor() bug? |
Running version 2.0.10 under Windows NT, I get the following strange result: log = 1 (logging on) ? ? factor(18444562698542235648) *** can't rename file LPTMP.tgp to LPREL.tgp. ? ? factor(18444562698542235648,0) %1 = [2 14] [3 1] [4657 1] [153701 1] [524257 1] ? Good bye! LPREL.tgp does not exist in the working directory, while LPTMP.tgp does. It contains the following: 337 @ 25827601 : 3 2 1 3 1 4 2 6 1 7 1 8 1 17 1 21 0 383 @ 30685569 : 3 2 1 4 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 13 1 17 1 23 0 409 @ 75520381 : 4 2 1 3 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 9 1 10 1 11 1 15 0 439 @ 51195819 : 5 2 1 5 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 10 1 12 1 20 0 499 @ 28329257 : 3 2 1 3 1 4 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 9 1 15 1 18 0 521 @ 32179649 : 3 2 1 3 1 4 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 9 1 16 1 20 0 607 @ 39997571 : 4 2 1 3 1 4 1 6 2 8 1 9 1 10 1 16 0 673 @ 37508051 : 4 2 1 3 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 14 1 20 1 21 0 859 @ 57847043 : 4 2 1 3 1 4 1 5 1 6 1 8 1 9 1 12 1 24 0 2543 @ 46922143 : 3 2 1 3 1 4 1 6 2 7 1 8 1 14 1 16 0 2909 @ 50261551 : 3 2 1 3 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 10 1 19 1 22 0 4013 @ 75682577 : 3 2 1 3 1 4 1 6 1 8 1 9 1 10 1 11 1 12 0 There are also files LPNEW.tgp, COMB.tgp, FNEW.tgp and FREL.tgp. LPNEW.tgp is the same as LPTMP.tgp except that it contains the line 607 @ 43603151 : 3 2 1 3 1 5 1 6 1 7 1 8 1 11 1 12 1 13 0 below the existing line for 607... I don't know if this is a version-specific or system-specific problem. For some reason, probably a problem with my server, I can't access the site megrez.math.u-bordeaux.fr, and my email to Karim gets kicked back as well. I'll try to get this straightened out, but it may take some time, since the server is in London and I am in New York. Meanwhile, I would appreciate it if someone could email me a copy of the source for 2.0.13, so that I can built a Win32 version.
