Ah, I see that's the poly of the quad basis, so not the same as
charpoly().

Perhaps a couple of words in the quadratic numbers introduction (the GP
bit) where discriminants are described. Could have a brief
cross-reference under quadgen() too as that could show up in the help
system rather than reading the whole.
